Michelle & Tony

THE BRIEF

A space longing for connection.

Michelle and Tony created a loving home for their loved ones but struggled to design a space that felt “put together.” They furnished the living and dining rooms one purchase at a time, and it showed. They wanted the space to read as “one”—beautiful, purposeful, and welcoming for those they love most.

THE challenge

A home, built for

gathering.

The living and dining rooms shared space but felt disconnected. Furniture had been added over time, and a cool blue-gray palette left both rooms feeling flat.

The gray sofa and chair were worth keeping, as was the white built-in. Our task was to build on those pieces, bringing warmth and continuity to rooms that had never quite come together.

They wanted a space that felt cozy, grown-up, and pulled together—somewhere they could welcome guests and feel just as comfortable on a quiet night at home.

the CONCEPT

Warm and grounded.

The concept shifted the rooms from cool blue-gray to amber, honey, and deep navy, tones that feel collected over time rather than bought in one trip.

Walnut slat paneling frames the existing built-in, and burnt magenta, navy, and brass carry the palette through to the dining room.

OUR APPROACH

We understood the assignment and delivered.

01

Keep the foundation.

We proposed keeping the gray sofa, chair, and living room built-in, then framing the built-in with walnut slat paneling to add depth to the wall without a renovation.

02

Warm the palette.

We shifted the room away from cool blue-gray, introducing magenta, burnt orange, navy, and honey tones layered onto the existing seating.

03

Connect the dining.

We carried the palette into the dining room, past a walnut sideboard with brass pulls, under a picture light above abstract art, and by the kitchen corner, where a brass floor lamp stood.

the result

The biggest change is how the house feels. Warm, relaxed, and pulled together, it gives Michelle and Tony a place to welcome friends, unwind, and enjoy being home.

the reveal

A home that finally feels whole.

“Wow! I love it!”

Months of planning. Countless decisions. One unforgettable reveal.
We chose every fabric, finish, and furnishing to create a space that feels inviting, comfortable, and truly personal.

Welcome home, Michelle and Tony!
